Currently, many businesses in the Quad City area are seeking temporary employees to assist with stocking, sanitizing, and other tasks. These include, but are not limited to:
- HyVee (all locations)
- Dollar General
- Papa John’s
- Walgreens AND MORE!
If you are interested in working, contact these or your favorite business, to see if they are continuing to be in need of these temporary (or in some cases, permanent, but likely part-time) positions. Most will have the application process on their store website (look under Careers or Current Job Openings). If you need assistance and are in STEP or have applied for STEP, contact us at the number above or through the “Contact” email on this website.
Here are a few of the types of businesses offering typical job opportunities for students. If the business offers online applications, a link will be provided. These businesses are only representatives of a few of the types of businesses employing high school students and are not to be viewed as recommendations of QCSTEP.
You may need to choose the store location or type of position you are interested in applying for to get to the application process. Follow the instructions on the store link if provided. If you need assistance, check with your school STEP teacher or a member of the STEP team.
Many businesses also require an email address or for you to enter username and password information to complete the application process. Be Prepared!
